BNDES aprova R$ 88,5 milhões para expansão da internet de banda larga na PB e no RN

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has approved financing of R$ 88.5 million for the expansion of broadband internet in the states of Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte. The funds, which come from the Universalization Fund for Telecommunication Services (FUST), will be used by Proxxima Telecomunicações S.A. to build over a thousand kilometers of fiber optic network in 24 municipalities in the two states. In addition to expanding the network, the financing will also improve the quality of telecommunication services in these regions. The project is aligned with public telecommunications policies and the New Industry Brazil initiative of the Federal Government.
