BNDES Procapcred

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) has announced measures that improve the conditions of support to credit cooperatives and the agricultural sector. Changes in the BNDES Procapcred program strengthen support for credit cooperatives, with an increase of R$ 2 billion in the budget, expanded access for individuals and differentiated rate and term conditions for the North and Northeast. The BNDES Rural Credit line has an increased allocation of R$ 4 billion to finance rural producers and production cooperatives, benefiting mainly agri-exporters. The BNDES has approved a set of measures that expand the reach and improve credit conditions for the agricultural sector. The initiatives include improvements in the BNDES Procapcred program, additional allocation for loans with a fixed rate in dollars in the BNDES Rural Credit and conclusion of a capture in Agribusiness Credit Letters (LCAs).
