BNDES Mais Inovação Program

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved financing for Volkswagen do Brasil in a research and development project for technologies for hybrid/flex and electrified vehicles in the country. The Bank will finance R$500 million under the BNDES Mais Inovação Program, with financial cost at reference rate (TR). The financing is aligned with Nova Indústria Brasil, which has as one of its objectives the development of sustainable mobility systems, which will give protagonism to Brazilian companies in the domestic and international market. The objective of this project is to develop new technologies that contribute to decarbonization and the reduction of CO2 pollutant emissions from the national fleet, aligned with sustainability, efficiency and the energetic transition for the coming years.
